At Trilogy, we’re not just treading water, we’re automating forward. We’ve restructured our finance team to do real accounting while designing the systems to eventually replace themselves. You’ll still get hands-on experience with bank recs, vendor payments, and month-end processing, but with a twist: your mandate is to eliminate those tasks through intelligent automation. We’ll teach you how. Whether you're building logic in spreadsheets, mapping processes for RPA, or collaborating with engineers on finance tooling, you’ll learn how modern finance professionals build systems.

This isn’t a role for someone who wants to settle into a routine. It’s for someone who wants to break the routine entirely. In this role, you'll investigate what slows us down, document the process, and help turn it into an automated workflow. You won’t be asked to “just do the work” — you’ll be asked if the work needs to exist at all. Over time, the percentage of your role that’s manual will shrink, freeing you up to take on more important tasks.

You’ll be part of a small, elite central finance team that supports a portfolio of education businesses globally. That means learning across different business models, accounting challenges, and automation opportunities. You’ll exit this role with hands-on experience not just in financial operations, but in building a smarter finance function. What you will be doing

  • Execute and eliminate: You’ll handle core finance tasks like reconciliations, billing reviews, and vendor payments, and then proactively identify which ones to automate and how to do it.
  • Turn spreadsheets into systems: You’ll use structured logic, templates, and tooling to standardize workflows and contribute to automation initiatives that eliminate manual effort across the team.
  • Learn automation by doing: You’ll get on-the-job training in process mapping, root cause analysis, and workflow design, transforming yourself into a system-minded finance operator in a matter of months.

What you will NOT be doing

  • The same repetitive work tasks every day until you retire, like your parents did
  • Managing a team of human accountants
  • Completing data entry work or ad hoc tasks

Candidate requirements

  • CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CFA
  • At least 3 years of professional finance experience
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience with US GAAP or IFRS
