Head of Corporate Finance   $400,000 USD/year

Description

Your expertise in private equity, investment banking, or Big 4 M&A wasn't meant for mundane budget oversight and endless PowerPoint reviews.

You're destined to design, challenge, and propel forward — transforming chaotic strategic visions into rock-solid execution blueprints, not forgotten five-year projections. You've perfected financial modeling under intense deadlines. Now you're ready to apply that expertise where it directly influences operational strategies, not just theoretical investment proposals. This opportunity delivers exactly that.

Trilogy seeks a financial strategist with operational intuition and deal-closing precision: someone who excels in uncertainty, takes ownership of results, and harnesses AI as an extension of their analytical mind. You'll collaborate directly with company founders and senior leadership to define the trajectory of SaaS and educational technology enterprises, creating the financial infrastructure and investment strategies that enable intelligent scaling without unnecessary complexity.

If your perfect workweek involves dissecting a flawed business strategy, reconstructing it with phased objectives and performance metrics, and delivering insights that command executive attention, this role is your match.

You won't be overseeing massive departments. You won't be enforcing budget compliance. You won't be waiting years to see meaningful impact. You'll be crafting strategy with velocity, analytical rigor, and AI-powered accuracy, directly influencing ventures that are reshaping entire industries.

What you will be doing

  • Constructing and maintaining comprehensive three-statement financial models with clear value drivers, seamless ERP integration, and AI-powered scenario analysis.
  • Delivering complete investment packages — detailed models, risk assessments, and executive-ready presentations — within 72-hour turnarounds.
  • Stress-testing customer acquisition costs, retention metrics, pricing strategies, capacity utilization, and other critical variables to uncover insights and validate key business assumptions.
  • Transforming unstable business strategies into structured, trackable implementation roadmaps with performance benchmarks.
  • Managing and optimizing dynamic financial frameworks that support immediate decision-making across SaaS and education company portfolios.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Handling month-end closings, audit preparations, or regulatory compliance tasks — this position transcends traditional controller or FP&A management functions.
  • Supervising extensive teams or providing career development guidance — your leadership stems from exceptional deliverables, not team size.
  • Producing presentations that gather digital dust — every strategic recommendation requires robust modeling, validated assumptions, and definitive action plans.
  • Working at a leisurely pace — this role demands high energy, AI integration, and comfort with constantly evolving challenges.
  • Seeking approval before strategic thinking — your mandate includes challenging existing strategies and enhancing their effectiveness and speed.

Key responsibilities

Design and manage an AI-enhanced financial ecosystem that supports critical investment choices, sustainable expansion, and strategic transparency across rapidly growing SaaS and educational technology companies.

Candidate requirements

  • Minimum 5 years in private equity, investment banking, or Big 4 M&A/Corporate Finance (excluding audit/tax roles), with hands-on experience in transaction modeling, stakeholder presentations, and investment analysis.
  • Professional certification (CPA, ACA, ACCA, CFA, CIMA) or MBA, coupled with comprehensive understanding of US GAAP/IFRS and consolidated financial reporting.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise ERP platforms (NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or similar).
  • Proven application of AI technologies for financial modeling, scenario development, market research, document creation, and process automation.
  • Established history of creating sophisticated models and executive-level strategic recommendations with exceptional speed, presentation quality, and strategic insight.
  • Geographic location within UTC-8 to UTC+3 time zones for optimal collaboration.

Nice to have

  • Background with SaaS or educational technology business frameworks.
  • Experience designing financial infrastructure from the ground up, beyond traditional modeling roles.
  • Previous work in dynamic, entrepreneur-driven organizations with fluid responsibilities and direct communication cultures.
