Head of Corporate Finance   $400,000 USD/year

Description

Your years in PE, IB, or Big 4 M&A weren't meant to end in budget oversight and slide deck approvals.

You're here to design, challenge, and drive forward — transforming ambiguous strategy into airtight execution frameworks, not multi-year projections that collect dust. You've honed financial modeling under intense conditions. Now you're ready to apply that expertise where it directly influences operational roadmaps, not merely pitch books. This is that opportunity.

Trilogy seeks a finance strategist with an operational mindset and dealmaker precision: someone who excels amid uncertainty, takes ownership of results, and harnesses AI as an extension of their capability. You'll collaborate directly with founders and senior leaders to define the trajectory of SaaS or education businesses, constructing the financial infrastructure and investment logic that enable intelligent scaling, not wasteful expansion.

If your ideal workweek involves dissecting a flawed business case, reconstructing it with phased milestones and KPI boundaries, and delivering a memo that shifts executive thinking, this role is yours.

You won't oversee large departments. You won't police expense reports. You won't wait years to see outcomes. You'll drive strategy with velocity, discipline, and AI-augmented insight, and your contributions will alter the course of ventures reshaping industries.

What you will be doing

  • Constructing and maintaining integrated 3-statement models with granular drivers, ERP data feeds, and AI-powered scenario analysis.
  • Delivering complete investment packages — financial models, sensitivity frameworks, and executive-ready memos — within 72 hours.
  • Stress-testing CAC, churn, pricing structures, capacity utilization, and similar metrics to expose critical assumptions and sharpen decision-making.
  • Transforming fragile business plans into structured, trackable execution roadmaps with embedded KPI controls.
  • Managing and continuously improving live financial systems that enable real-time strategic decisions across SaaS and education portfolios.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Managing month-end close, audit processes, or compliance tasks — this is not a controller or traditional FP&A management position.
  • Building or overseeing large teams or engaging in personnel development — your influence comes from deliverables, not org charts.
  • Producing presentations that go unread — every proposal must be grounded in rigorous models, validated assumptions, and actionable decision paths.
  • Working at a steady, predictable pace — this role demands high velocity, AI fluency, and comfort with evolving priorities.
  • Waiting for approval to challenge conventions — you're expected to scrutinize strategy and elevate its quality and speed.

Key responsibilities

Design and manage an AI-enabled financial infrastructure that supports high-impact investment decisions, sustainable growth, and operational precision across rapidly expanding SaaS and education businesses.

Candidate requirements

  • 5+ years in PE, IB, or Big 4 M&A/Corporate Finance (excluding audit/tax), including hands-on deal modeling, client/board engagement, and participation in investment decisions.
  • CPA, ACA, ACCA, CFA, CIMA, or MBA, with comprehensive understanding of US GAAP/IFRS and consolidated financial statements.
  • Prior work with enterprise ERP platforms (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, SAP).
  • Proven application of AI tools as a productivity multiplier for modeling, scenario design, research, memo creation, and process automation.
  • History of delivering financial models and board-level analyses with speed, precision, and strategic insight.
  • Based in time zones between UTC-8 and UTC+3.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with SaaS or EdTech operating models.
  • Background in designing financial systems, beyond simply using existing tools.
  • Experience in fluid, founder-driven settings with shifting mandates and direct communication cultures.
