Description

Cash is planned, then vanishes. In B2B environments, 20–30% of invoices regularly exceed their due dates each quarter, accumulating through "processing holdups," portal friction, and ambiguous disputes that slide into aging reports. Finance departments struggle to reconcile variance while receivables remain outstanding. The standard industry solution involves additional layers of oversight and follow-up correspondence—yet days sales outstanding continues to grow, and each quarter-end becomes an exercise in justification.

Trilogy operates differently: we approach collections as a discipline of precision. Each day begins with a quantified action agenda tied directly to forecast targets. We leverage AI to prioritize accounts by both cash magnitude and collection probability, then systematically address root obstacles until funds clear into our accounts. Disputes are not merely "monitored"—they are closed with evidence, customer acknowledgment, and a confirmed payment schedule. The objective is straightforward: you convert forecasted cash into deposited cash on the scheduled date, enabling the entire organization to operate with greater velocity.

This role requires you to design and execute a daily collection strategy with complete accuracy, eliminate payment friction before it becomes aging, dismantle disputes using audit-ready documentation, and reduce the aging bucket to only legitimate exceptions. If your approach is to escalate with precision, identify the actual barrier, secure written customer commitment, and lock in a payment deadline, this environment will suit you. If you prefer to monitor dashboards and wait for month-end reviews, it will not.

You will operate at the core of the cash engine, working alongside forecasting and revenue operations: they model and flag risk; you eliminate it and secure the result. Your resources include AI-powered prioritization, direct customer communication, and an unwillingness to tolerate aged items. If you are prepared to transform quarter-end from a scramble into a controlled process, apply now.

What you will be doing

  • Execute a daily cash discipline: establish exact collection objectives, deliver without deviation, and investigate any shortfall until the underlying cause is removed.
  • Eliminate payment friction and resolve disputes rapidly: engage customers directly on remittance, portal, or registration obstacles, obtain written confirmation and a committed payment date, and confirm cash receipt.
  • Monitor and reduce the aging bucket daily: resolve or reclassify stale entries with supporting evidence and drive actionable steps that decrease aged receivables week by week.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Building quarterly forecasts or long-term cash generation strategies
  • Administrative work that does not influence cash collection.
  • Process analysis or internal meetings unrelated to collections or dispute resolution.

Key responsibilities

  • Achieve on-time collection of 100% of all invoices forecasted for the quarter, removing obstacles and ensuring cash is received precisely as planned.

Candidate requirements

  • A university degree in a finance-related discipline
  • At least 5 years of experience in collections or accounts receivable
  • Proven track record resolving customer disputes related to collections
  • Availability to work on weekends
