Description

Cash is projected, then disappears. In B2B operations, 20–30% of invoices exceed their due date each quarter, accumulating through "processing delays," portal friction, and ambiguous disputes that stack up in aging categories. Finance leaders wrestle to justify deviations while receivables remain trapped. The conventional fix is layering on supervision and follow-up emails—yet Days Sales Outstanding continues to climb, and quarter-close turns into a parade of justifications.

Trilogy has chosen a sharper approach: manage collections as a disciplined execution exercise. Each morning begins with a data-backed action agenda tied directly to forecast commitments. We use AI to prioritize accounts by dollar impact and collection probability, then eliminate obstacles until funds clear into our account. Disputes aren't merely "monitored," they're closed with proof, customer agreement, and a confirmed wire date. The mission is straightforward: convert forecasted receivables into deposited cash on the scheduled day, allowing the entire organization to accelerate accordingly.

In this position, you will design and execute a zero-variance daily collection routine, intercept payment friction before it escalates into aged receivables, dismantle disputes using audit-ready documentation, and purge the aging report until only genuine exceptions persist. If your natural response is to escalate with precision, isolate the true obstacle, secure customer sign-off, and lock down a commitment timeline, this role will suit you. If you prefer to monitor dashboards and await month-end roll-ups, it will not.

You'll operate at the core of the cash operations engine alongside forecasting and revenue operations: they model and flag exposure; you neutralize it and capture the result. Your toolkit spans AI-powered ranking, precise customer communication, and a zero-tolerance stance on aging items. If you're prepared to transform quarter-end from a crisis into a smooth glide path, come forward and apply!

What you will be doing

  • Execute a daily cash action plan: define exact collection objectives, deliver without deviation, and investigate every shortfall until the underlying cause is eliminated.
  • Resolve payment friction and disputes rapidly: engage customers directly on remittance, portal, or registration obstacles, obtain documented agreement and a locked payment date, and confirm funds arrive.
  • Monitor and compress the aging ledger daily: eliminate or re-categorize stale line items with supporting evidence and drive actionable steps that reduce aged receivables week by week.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Building quarterly forecasts or long-term cash generation models
  • Administrative duties that do not influence cash receipts.
  • Internal process audits or meetings unconnected to active collection or dispute resolution.

Key responsibilities

  • Guarantee the punctual collection of 100% of all invoices projected for the quarter, removing obstacles and ensuring cash is deposited precisely as forecasted.

Candidate requirements

  • A university degree in a finance-related subject
  • At least 5 years of experience in collections or accounts receivable
  • Demonstrated history resolving customer disputes related to collections
