Description

LOCATION NOTE: This is an in-person position based at our Austin, TX campus.

A well-run campus appears calm, orderly, and inviting—the result of countless behind-the-scenes decisions that sustain that environment.

Nova Academy is designed to serve students and families who demand more from education. That demand reaches beyond classroom instruction. It manifests in the clarity of family communication, the security students experience, the efficiency of daily routines, and the speed with which issues are addressed. This position ensures those elements function reliably, day in and day out.

In this capacity, you hold accountability for all non-academic campus operations. You establish trust with families by delivering clear and timely updates. You protect student welfare by overseeing safety protocols and incident management. You handle facilities, logistics, and operational systems so instructional staff remain concentrated on students. You also ensure technology enables learning instead of disrupting it.

This is a practical, community-facing position suited to someone who values variety, ownership, and service. If you find energy in problem-solving, supporting others, and building environments where students and staff succeed, this role provides substantial responsibility and influence.

What you will be doing

  • Cultivating positive relationships with parents, students, and staff using proactive, bilingual outreach
  • Overseeing campus safety functions, including entry protocols, health events, emergency drills, record-keeping, and family notifications
  • Supervising daily campus activities such as attendance workflows, transportation logistics, facilities maintenance, and front-office operations
  • Facilitating onboarding and orientation for new personnel to support seamless adoption of campus procedures and culture
  • Administering student technology and campus systems, acting as the primary on-site technical resource and Google Administrator

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering classroom instruction or providing academic support
  • Mentoring Guides or designing instructional content
  • Functioning within a narrowly scoped or exclusively clerical position
  • Working in a static, entirely predictable setting
  • Transferring issues to others rather than driving them to completion

Key responsibilities

Guarantee that Nova Academy functions safely, smoothly, and reliably so students, staff, and families encounter a high-trust, well-managed campus each day.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (field of study not specified)
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in office coordination, facilities support, site operations, or comparable operational functions
  • Proficiency with fundamental technology responsibilities including device configuration, troubleshooting, and account management
  • Effective written and spoken communication abilities
  • Capacity to handle multiple tasks with precision and focus
  • Fluency in both spoken Spanish and English
  • Authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship
  • Willingness to work on-site in Austin, TX, or readiness to relocate

Nice to have

  • 3+ years of experience managing operations
  • Background working as a Google Administrator
  • Experience coordinating and delivering events
