Description

LOCATION NOTE: This role requires on-site presence at our Austin, TX campus.

A well-functioning campus appears calm, orderly, and inviting—the result of someone making countless operational decisions to maintain that experience.

Nova Academy is designed for students and families seeking more from their educational environment. Those expectations reach beyond the classroom and into how communication flows, how secure students feel, how efficiently the day operates, and how swiftly challenges are addressed. This position ensures all of that functions reliably, day after day.

You will oversee the complete non-instructional operations of the campus. You establish credibility with families by delivering clear and punctual communication. You protect student safety by managing protocols and responding to incidents. You handle facilities, logistics, and operational systems so teaching staff remain focused on student learning. You also ensure technology enables instruction instead of disrupting it.

This is a practical, community-oriented position suited to someone who thrives on variety, accountability, and supporting others. If you find purpose in resolving challenges, contributing to a community, and building an environment where both students and staff succeed, this role provides substantial ownership and influence.

What you will be doing

  • Developing trusted relationships with parents, students, and staff via proactive, bilingual outreach and communication
  • Overseeing campus safety, including entry protocols, health response, emergency drills, documentation standards, and family notifications
  • Directing daily operational functions such as attendance tracking, transportation logistics, facility maintenance, and office administration
  • Facilitating onboarding and orientation for new team members to promote seamless adoption of campus procedures and culture
  • Administering student technology and campus systems, acting as the primary on-site tech resource and Google Administrator

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering instruction or supporting classroom teaching
  • Mentoring Guides or contributing to curriculum development
  • Functioning in a narrowly scoped or exclusively clerical capacity
  • Working within a slow-moving or entirely predictable setting
  • Transferring responsibility for problems rather than seeing them through to resolution

Key responsibilities

Ensure Nova Academy functions safely, smoothly, and reliably so that students, staff, and families encounter a trustworthy, well-managed campus environment each day.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (field of study not specified)
  • At least 1 year of experience in office coordination, facilities support, site operations, or comparable operational functions
  • Confidence with fundamental technology responsibilities including device setup, troubleshooting, and account administration
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication abilities
  • Capacity to handle multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail
  • Fluency in both spoken Spanish and English for effective communication
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship
  • Availability for in-person work in Austin, TX, or readiness to relocate

Nice to have

  • 3+ years of operational management experience
  • Background serving as a Google Administrator
  • Experience organizing and executing events
