Description

This role is unlike any standard recruiting position.

Crossover seeks a campus recruiter to identify and secure the next cohort of 50 Alpha AI Engineer Interns: top-tier undergraduates from Stanford and MIT, prepared to dedicate their summer to generative AI development. Your mission? Build that class. Quickly.

You will own the complete recruitment cycle: relationship development, event planning, large-scale outreach, and candidate conversion. You must operate with the agility of a startup founder, the instincts of a talent scout, and the execution discipline of a sales executive. This role is not centered on formal networking dinners or promotional giveaways. It is about delivering outcomes: 50 students, summer 2026, Austin, TX. You will receive complete support — independence, funding, defined objectives — with full accountability.

This position suits someone who embraces demanding targets, takes ownership of deliverables, and knows precisely how to identify and secure elite CS talent.

Core details:

  • $75,000 annual salary + complete travel reimbursement
  • Full-time position with comprehensive benefits
  • US-based (requiring frequent travel to MIT and Stanford)

You may be the right fit if you:

  • Possess infectious enthusiasm that captures attention — and drives student participation
  • Approach logistics as a tactical challenge and excel at precision execution
  • Remain composed under pressure and adapt seamlessly when circumstances change unexpectedly
  • Understand how to command attention, advance a pipeline, and achieve ambitious targets
  • Appreciate the rhythm of campus environments and the complexity of converting interest into commitment
  • Excel in high-travel roles — always prepared, calendar optimized, consistently proactive

If you graduated from Stanford or MIT — or understand how to succeed on those campuses — this represents the most impactful recruiting opportunity available.

What you will be doing

  • Constructing and overseeing a high-yield recruitment pipeline of Stanford and MIT CS/ML students from first contact through accepted offers
  • Managing full logistics for campus recruiting activities — including venue booking, catering coordination, and marketing material production
  • Maintaining a consistent travel schedule to MIT and Stanford to deliver in-person sessions, informational presentations, and dynamic engagement events with students and faculty
  • Executing a rigorous, data-informed recruitment strategy: tracking outreach volume, event attendance, assessment progression, and final enrollment rates
  • Serving as the primary campus representative for the Alpha AI Engineer internship — accessible, well-organized, and authoritative

What you will NOT be doing

  • Depending on corporate branding or HR teams to generate interest — you control the full process from start to finish
  • Visiting campuses sporadically or conducting passive recruitment — this demands intensive, continuous engagement
  • Delegating operational tasks to support staff — you will secure venues, handle shipments, and arrange catering yourself
  • Adhering to standard business hours — critical interactions occur during student availability: evenings, weekends, exam periods

Key responsibilities

Recruit and confirm a complete, exceptional Alpha AI Engineer internship cohort (50+ accepted students) from Stanford and MIT by May 2026 via targeted outreach, campus events, and systematic application funnel oversight.

Candidate requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in college recruitment, admissions, or event-driven outreach
  • Documented track record in high-volume outreach and student engagement initiatives
  • Confirmed capability to independently coordinate complex event logistics
  • Strong communicator, exceptionally organized, independently motivated
  • Located in the United States with flexibility for frequent travel to Stanford and MIT

Nice to have

  • Degree from Stanford or MIT
  • Prior experience recruiting for CS/ML roles or similar technical talent pipelines
  • Professional history in sales, campaign management, or startup operations
