This role demands the strategic mindset of a talent scout, the execution skills of a sales director, and the adaptability of a startup founder. You'll orchestrate the entire talent acquisition journey - from campus relationship cultivation to candidate conversion. What you will be doing

  • Architecting and optimizing a high-performance recruitment funnel targeting MIT and Stanford's top CS/ML talent - from initial discovery through offer acceptance
  • Taking complete ownership of campus event logistics - securing venues, coordinating catering, producing promotional materials, and managing all operational details
  • Conducting regular campus visits to Stanford and MIT to facilitate engaging information sessions, presentations, and meaningful interactions with students and faculty members
  • Implementing a data-driven recruitment strategy with clear metrics tracking outreach effectiveness, event attendance, assessment completion rates, and final yield percentages
  • Serving as the official ambassador and primary point of contact for the Alpha AI Engineer internship program - demonstrating responsiveness, exceptional organization, and technical credibility

What you will NOT be doing

  • Depending on corporate branding initiatives or HR departments to generate student interest - you are fully accountable for all recruitment outcomes
  • Making occasional or passive campus appearances - this role requires intensive, sustained engagement throughout the recruitment cycle
  • Delegating operational responsibilities - you will personally handle everything from venue reservations to promotional material distribution
  • Maintaining traditional office hours - your schedule will align with student availability, including evenings, weekends, and academic peak periods

Key responsibilities

Successfully deliver a complete cohort of 50+ exceptional Alpha AI Engineer interns from MIT and Stanford by May 2026 through strategic direct outreach campaigns, compelling campus events, and meticulous application pipeline management.

Candidate requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of demonstrated experience in university recruitment, admissions operations, or event-based student engagement
  • Proven track record of successful large-scale outreach initiatives and meaningful student engagement
  • Demonstrated capability to independently coordinate and execute complex event logistics
  • Exceptional communication skills, superior organizational abilities, and self-motivated work ethic
  • US-based with willingness and ability to travel extensively to MIT and Stanford campuses

Nice to have

  • Graduate or undergraduate degree from MIT or Stanford
  • Previous experience recruiting for computer science, machine learning, or other technical disciplines
  • Professional background in sales, political campaign organization, or startup operations
