University Recruiter   $75,000 USD/year

Description

ELITE TALENT SCOUTS ONLY: The hunt for the next 50 AI pioneers begins now.

Crossover needs a relentless University Recruiter to identify and secure the top 1% of CS/ML talent from MIT and Stanford for our Alpha AI Engineer Internship program. This is high-stakes talent acquisition with clear metrics: 50 exceptional students, Summer 2026, Austin TX.

You'll operate with complete ownership of the recruitment lifecycle—from strategic campus relationships to flawless event execution to candidate conversion. We don't need someone to staff career fairs. We need a talent strategist who moves with urgency, thinks with precision, and converts with confidence.

This position demands an individual who thrives under pressure, embraces accountability, and possesses the rare ability to identify and secure elite technical talent before competitors even notice them.

The essentials:

  • $75,000/year with comprehensive travel coverage
  • Full benefits package
  • US-based with significant presence at Stanford and MIT

The ideal candidate demonstrates:

  • Magnetic presence that commands attention and drives student engagement
  • Meticulous attention to logistical details that others overlook
  • Unshakable composure when navigating inevitable pivots and challenges
  • Exceptional command of group dynamics and conversion metrics
  • Natural affinity for campus environments and student motivation
  • Comfort with constant mobility and forward planning

For MIT/Stanford alumni or campus recruitment specialists: This position offers unparalleled impact potential in technical talent acquisition.

What you will be doing

  • Architecting and executing a high-performance recruitment funnel targeting elite CS/ML students from initial outreach through offer acceptance
  • Managing comprehensive event logistics with military precision—securing optimal venues, coordinating catering, producing professional materials, and ensuring flawless execution
  • Conducting regular high-impact campus visits to deliver compelling presentations, facilitate information sessions, and cultivate strategic relationships with students and faculty
  • Implementing data-driven recruitment strategies with rigorous tracking of outreach metrics, event attendance, assessment completion rates, and final yield statistics
  • Serving as the authoritative representative of the Alpha AI Engineer internship program—projecting credibility, responsiveness, and organizational excellence

What you will NOT be doing

  • Passively relying on corporate branding or HR initiatives—you drive complete ownership of recruitment outcomes
  • Making sporadic or superficial campus appearances—this role demands consistent, intensive engagement
  • Delegating operational details—you personally ensure every logistical element contributes to recruitment success
  • Adhering to conventional work schedules—your availability aligns with student accessibility during evenings, weekends, and academic pressure points

Key responsibilities

Deliver a complete cohort of 50+ exceptional Alpha AI Engineer interns from MIT and Stanford by May 2026 through strategic outreach, compelling events, and meticulous funnel management that secures top-tier technical talent before competitors.

Candidate requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of demonstrated excellence in university recruitment, admissions management, or event-based talent acquisition
  • Proven track record of successful large-scale outreach campaigns and meaningful student engagement
  • Exceptional ability to independently coordinate complex event logistics without oversight
  • Superior communication skills, organizational discipline, and autonomous execution capability
  • US-based with capacity for frequent travel to MIT and Stanford campuses

Nice to have

  • MIT or Stanford degree with established campus connections
  • Previous experience recruiting technical talent in CS/ML domains
  • Professional background in sales leadership, political campaign management, or startup operations
