Business Operations Manager   $60,000 USD/year

Description

LOCATION NOTE: This on-site position is based at our Austin, TX campus.

Are you frustrated by delays caused by waiting for others to resolve problems you could fix immediately? At Nova Academy, you'll serve as the go-to expert responsible for ensuring campus operations run without interruption, addressing operational issues with agility, innovation, and accountability.

Your responsibilities will span from resolving technical device issues to orchestrating seamless events and maintaining campus security—all mission-critical work. Your contributions will be recognized: you'll develop meaningful connections with students, parents, and staff who rely on your skills and commitment. At Nova Academy, your workday extends beyond activity—it's purposeful, varied, and genuinely fulfilling.

Why Nova Academy?

  • Learning from the Best: Work alongside seasoned professionals throughout our network, acquiring knowledge and skills that accelerate your professional development.
  • Growth Opportunities: With guidance from the Campus Director and Lead Campus Coordinator, you'll gradually assume expanded responsibilities—from parent engagement to operational management—building your capabilities and impact.
  • Playbook for Success: Leverage a proven framework to master the development, refinement, and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) within a fast-growing school network.
  • Training and Mentorship: As your career progresses, play a role in developing others by delivering training and guidance to new team members across multiple campuses.

If you're prepared to leave behind micromanagement, red tape, or underwhelming influence and embrace a position where your choices drive results, we invite you to apply.

What you will be doing

  • Taking full ownership of day-to-day campus operations—from fire safety protocols to staff onboarding and maintaining an uninterrupted learning environment.
  • Addressing technical challenges directly: diagnosing problems, overseeing device migrations, and acting as the primary resource for technology support.
  • Preparing polished, professional environments for events and ensuring flawless execution.
  • Cultivating trust among students, parents, and staff through transparent communication and superior service delivery.
  • Maintaining campus security by implementing and overseeing protocols, conducting drills, and enforcing safety standards.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Instructing students or designing curriculum—your mandate centers on operational performance, not educational content.
  • Following inflexible procedures or waiting for others to initiate action—this position demands proactive problem-solving and ownership.
  • Operating independently—your success depends on collaboration and active community involvement.
  • Performing monotonous or routine tasks—this role provides diversity and substantive challenges.

Maintain smooth campus operations while establishing trust and providing outstanding service to students, staff, and parents.
