Campus Support Specialist   $60,000 USD/year

Description

LOCATION NOTE: This is an on-site position based at our Austin, TX campus.

Are you tired of waiting on others to resolve problems you could fix immediately? As a Campus Support Specialist at Nova Academy, you'll serve as the go-to expert who keeps campus operations running efficiently, addressing operational issues with agility, innovation, and accountability.

Your responsibilities will span from resolving technical device issues to orchestrating seamless events and maintaining campus security—work that's essential to our mission. Your contributions will be visible and valued as you develop strong connections with students, families, and colleagues who depend on your skills and commitment. At Nova Academy, your workday is more than packed—it's purposeful, varied, and genuinely fulfilling.

Why Nova Academy?

  • Learning from the Best: Work alongside seasoned professionals throughout our network, acquiring knowledge and skills that accelerate your professional development.
  • Growth Opportunities: With guidance from the Campus Director and Lead Campus Coordinator, gradually assume expanded responsibilities—from family communications to operational management—developing your capabilities and impact.
  • Playbook for Success: Leverage a proven operational framework, becoming proficient in developing, refining, and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) within a rapidly growing school network.
  • Training and Mentorship: As you develop, support the advancement of others by delivering training and guidance to new team members across multiple campuses.

If you're prepared to leave behind micromanagement, bureaucratic obstacles, or roles with minimal impact and move into a position where your choices carry weight, we invite you to join us.

What you will be doing

  • Managing day-to-day campus operations—spanning fire safety protocols, staff onboarding processes, and maintaining an optimal learning environment.
  • Addressing technical issues directly: diagnosing problems, overseeing device migrations, and acting as the primary resource for technology support.
  • Preparing refined, professional environments for campus events and guaranteeing their flawless execution.
  • Establishing credibility with students, families, and colleagues through transparent communication and exceptional support.
  • Maintaining campus security via robust protocols, preparedness drills, and vigilant safety practices.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Instruction or curriculum design—your domain is operational excellence, not educational content.
  • Following inflexible procedures or waiting on others to initiate solutions—this position demands proactive ownership.
  • Operating independently—achievement in this role depends on teamwork and active community involvement.
  • Performing monotonous or routine tasks exclusively—this position provides diversity and substantive challenges.

Key responsibilities

Maintain smooth campus operations while cultivating trust and providing outstanding service to students, staff, and families.

  • Bachelor's degree (field of study not specified)
  • Demonstrated capability to troubleshoot issues and handle operational logistics confidently
  • Working knowledge of IT systems or technical support functions
