IT Coordinator   $60,000 USD/year

Description

LOCATION NOTE: This is an on-site position based at our Austin, TX campus.

Are you tired of waiting on others to resolve issues you could tackle yourself in moments? At Nova Academy, you will serve as the go-to expert who keeps campus operations running efficiently, addressing operational challenges with speed, ingenuity, and accountability.

Your responsibilities will span from resolving technical device issues to orchestrating seamless events and maintaining campus security—work that is mission-essential. Your contributions will be recognized: you will cultivate meaningful connections with students, parents, and staff who appreciate your skill and commitment. At Nova Academy, your workday is not simply active—it is purposeful, varied, and genuinely fulfilling.

Why Nova Academy?

  • Learning from the Best: Partner with seasoned professionals throughout our network, acquiring knowledge and skills that accelerate your professional development.
  • Growth Opportunities: Guided by the Campus Director and Lead Campus Coordinator, you will progressively assume greater responsibilities—ranging from parent engagement to operational leadership—expanding your expertise and impact.
  • Playbook for Success: Leverage a proven playbook, becoming proficient in developing, refining, and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) within a fast-growing school network.
  • Training and Mentorship: As your experience deepens, you will support the development of others by training and mentoring incoming team members across multiple campuses.

If you are prepared to leave behind micromanagement, bureaucracy, or work lacking real impact, and move into a position where your choices count, we invite you to apply.

What you will be doing

  • Taking ownership of daily campus operations—covering everything from fire safety protocols to staff onboarding and maintaining an uninterrupted learning environment.
  • Addressing technical challenges directly: diagnosing problems, overseeing device migrations, and acting as the primary resource for technology support.
  • Preparing refined, professional event spaces and ensuring flawless execution.
  • Establishing trust with students, parents, and staff through transparent communication and exceptional service delivery.
  • Upholding campus safety by implementing effective protocols, conducting drills, and managing security procedures.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Teaching or designing curriculum—your emphasis is on operational excellence, not instruction.
  • Following inflexible procedures or waiting for others to act—this position demands proactive ownership.
  • Operating independently—success in this role depends on collaboration and active community involvement.
  • Performing monotonous or routine tasks—this role provides variety and substantial challenges.

Key responsibilities

Maintain smooth campus operations while cultivating trust and providing outstanding service to students, staff, and parents.

  • Bachelor's degree (field of study is not specified)
  • Demonstrated capability to solve problems and handle operational logistics with assurance
  • Working knowledge of IT systems or technical support
