Description

LOCATION NOTE: This is an in-person position based at our Austin, TX campus.

A well-run campus feels orderly, calm, and inviting—because someone is orchestrating hundreds of decisions behind the scenes to maintain that environment.

Nova Academy is built to serve students and families who demand more from their educational experience. That expectation reaches beyond the classroom. It manifests in how families receive information, how secure students feel, how seamlessly each day unfolds, and how efficiently challenges are addressed. This position ensures all of those elements function properly, every single day.

In this position, you own the complete non-academic operations of the campus. You establish trust with families through transparent, prompt communication. You protect student safety by managing security protocols and incident management. You oversee facilities, logistics, and day-to-day operations so staff remain focused on students. You also ensure technology enables learning instead of disrupting it.

This is a direct, community-oriented role for someone who thrives on variety, accountability, and service. If you are motivated by resolving challenges, supporting a school community, and building an environment where students and staff can excel, this position provides substantial ownership and influence.

What you will be doing

  • Cultivating strong connections with parents, students, and staff through consistent, bilingual communication
  • Overseeing campus safety functions, including entry protocols, health events, emergency drills, record-keeping, and family notifications
  • Managing day-to-day campus functions such as attendance systems, transportation logistics, facilities maintenance, and administrative operations
  • Facilitating onboarding and orientation for new staff to guarantee seamless integration into campus procedures and culture
  • Administering student devices and campus technology, acting as the primary on-site technical contact and Google Administrator

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering classroom instruction or assisting with academic teaching
  • Mentoring Guides or building curriculum materials
  • Functioning in a narrowly scoped or exclusively clerical capacity
  • Working in a slow-paced, entirely predictable setting
  • Passing off challenges rather than driving them to completion

Key responsibilities

Guarantee that Nova Academy functions safely, effectively, and reliably so students, staff, and families encounter a high-trust, well-managed campus every day.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (field of study not specified)
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in office coordination, facilities support, site operations, or comparable operational positions
  • Confidence with fundamental technology responsibilities such as device configuration, troubleshooting, and account management
  • Excellent written and spoken communication abilities
  • Capability to juggle multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail
  • Proficiency in communicating clearly and effectively in both spoken Spanish and English
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship
  • Availability to work on-site in Austin, TX, or readiness to relocate

Nice to have

  • 3+ years of operational management experience
  • Background working as a Google Administrator
  • Experience organizing and delivering events
