Description

LOCATION NOTE: This role is in-person and based at our Austin, TX campus.

A well-run campus feels orderly, approachable, and composed—because someone is orchestrating countless decisions to maintain that environment.

Nova Academy is designed for students and families seeking more from their educational experience. That expectation reaches beyond the classroom. It appears in the quality of family communication, in the sense of security students experience, in the seamless flow of the school day, and in the efficiency with which issues are addressed. This position ensures those elements function reliably, day in and day out.

In this capacity, you hold accountability for all non-instructional campus operations. You establish trust with families through consistent, responsive communication. You protect student safety by managing protocols and incident handling. You oversee facilities, logistics, and operational rhythms so that staff remain centered on student success. You also ensure that technology enables learning instead of disrupting it.

This is a hands-on, community-focused position suited to someone who values variety, accountability, and service. If you find energy in problem-solving, supporting others, and building environments where students and staff flourish, this role provides substantial ownership and meaningful impact.

What you will be doing

  • Cultivating trust-based relationships with parents, students, and staff through proactive, bilingual outreach and communication
  • Leading campus safety operations, including entry protocols, medical incidents, emergency drills, documentation practices, and family notifications
  • Managing day-to-day campus operations including attendance tracking, transportation logistics, facility maintenance support, and front-office workflow
  • Facilitating onboarding and orientation for new staff members to support seamless adoption of campus systems and culture
  • Administering student devices and campus technology as the primary on-site technical contact and Google Administrator

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering instruction or providing academic support in classrooms
  • Mentoring Guides or contributing to curriculum development
  • Functioning within a narrowly scoped or strictly clerical capacity
  • Working in a static, entirely predictable setting
  • Transferring problems to others rather than resolving them yourself

Key responsibilities

Ensure that Nova Academy functions safely, smoothly, and reliably so that students, staff, and families encounter a well-managed, high-trust campus environment each day.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (field of study is not specified)
  • At least 1 year of experience in office coordination, site operations, facilities support, or comparable operational functions
  • Competence with fundamental technology tasks including device configuration, troubleshooting, and account management
  • Excellent written and spoken communication abilities
  • Capability to handle multiple competing priorities while maintaining precision
  • Fluency in both spoken Spanish and English, with clear and effective communication in each
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without requirement for visa sponsorship
  • Availability to work on-site in Austin, TX, or readiness to relocate

Nice to have

  • 3+ years of experience managing operational functions
  • Background serving in a Google Administrator role
  • Experience coordinating and delivering events
