Operations Coordinator   $60,000 USD/year

Description

LOCATION NOTE: This is an on-site position based at our Austin, TX campus.

Are you frustrated by waiting on others to resolve issues you could handle immediately? At Nova Academy, you'll serve as the operational expert who keeps the campus running efficiently, addressing challenges with agility, resourcefulness, and accountability.

Your responsibilities will span from resolving tech issues to orchestrating seamless events and maintaining campus security—work that is essential to our mission. Your contributions will be recognized: you'll develop meaningful connections with students, parents, and staff who rely on your skills and commitment. At Nova Academy, your workday is purposeful, varied, and genuinely fulfilling.

Why Nova Academy?

  • Learning from the Best: Work alongside seasoned professionals throughout our network, absorbing knowledge and skills that accelerate your professional development.
  • Growth Opportunities: With guidance from the Campus Director and Lead Campus Coordinator, you'll gradually assume expanded responsibilities—from parent relations to operational leadership—building your expertise and impact.
  • Playbook for Success: Leverage a proven operational framework, gaining mastery in developing, refining, and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across a growing school network.
  • Training and Mentorship: As your role evolves, help shape the next generation by training and mentoring new team members at multiple campuses.

If you want to leave behind micromanagement, bureaucracy, and low-impact work to join a role where your choices have real consequences, we invite you to apply.

What you will be doing

  • Taking ownership of day-to-day campus operations—from fire safety protocols to staff onboarding and maintaining an optimal learning environment.
  • Addressing technical challenges directly: diagnosing problems, coordinating device migrations, and acting as the primary resource for technology support.
  • Preparing professional, well-organized event spaces and guaranteeing flawless execution.
  • Establishing credibility with students, parents, and staff through transparent communication and superior service.
  • Maintaining campus security by implementing effective protocols, conducting drills, and overseeing safety measures.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Teaching classes or designing curriculum—your mission is operational excellence, not instruction.
  • Following inflexible procedures or waiting for others to act—this position requires proactive initiative.
  • Operating independently—your success depends on teamwork and active community involvement.
  • Being confined to routine or repetitive work—this role provides diversity and significant challenges.

Key responsibilities

Maintain smooth campus operations while cultivating trust and providing outstanding service to students, staff, and parents.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (field of study not specified)
  • Demonstrated capability to troubleshoot problems and handle operational logistics independently
  • Working knowledge of IT systems or technical support
  • Background in customer-facing positions
  • Proficiency in both spoken Spanish and English for clear communication
  • Strong ownership mindset and proactive attitude
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship
