Description

Ready for HR without the fluff? This is where execution meets excellence. If you've thrived in the pressure cooker of high-stakes workforce transitions and find satisfaction in flawless delivery rather than feel-good initiatives, we've been looking for you.

As our Senior Director of HR Operations, you'll orchestrate complex global offboarding and M&A integration processes affecting hundreds of employees quarterly. You'll be the linchpin connecting Legal, Finance, IT, and HR teams, ensuring every transition is seamless, compliant, and precise. This isn't about emotions—it's about excellence.

Yes, workforce reductions are challenging. Empathy is essential. But so is unwavering execution. We need a leader who maintains composure and professionalism when stakes are highest. You'll collaborate with seasoned M&A experts as equals, not supervisors. This role offers genuine growth, measurable impact, and the chance to perfect your craft. If you're seeking career advancement, not just employment, we should talk.

What you will be doing

  • Spearheading end-to-end execution of reduction-in-force initiatives and M&A HR transitions across multiple global jurisdictions (US, UK, EU, India, etc.)
  • Developing comprehensive execution roadmaps, managing critical dependencies, and synchronizing cross-functional stakeholders
  • Converting complex legal requirements into actionable employee communications and documentation
  • Executing flawless offboarding processes—ensuring precise handling of final compensation, system access termination, benefits transitions, and compliance requirements
  • Collaborating with Legal on exceptional cases while building your own legal expertise

What you will NOT be doing

  • Passing difficult conversations downstream—you'll personally navigate sensitive discussions with dignity and respect
  • Spending time on abstract HR concepts, cultural manifestos, or employee sentiment metrics
  • Working in isolation—your success depends on proactive cross-functional collaboration
  • Constantly deferring to Legal—you'll develop judgment to handle routine matters independently
  • Succumbing to pressure—this position demands composed, consistent execution even during intense periods

Key responsibilities

Orchestrate impeccable, legally sound, large-scale offboarding operations and M&A HR transitions—delivered punctually, across international boundaries, with meticulous attention to compliance and risk management.

Candidate requirements

  • 8–12 years progressive HR experience, including minimum 2 years in Director or VP capacity
  • Demonstrated success leading both reduction-in-force initiatives and post-acquisition HR integration
  • Working knowledge of employment regulations and termination processes across at least two jurisdictions (US, EU, UK, India, etc.)
  • Exceptional written communication abilities for translating legal requirements into actionable HR protocols
  • Proven expertise coordinating across multiple functions (HRIS, payroll, legal, IT)
  • SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or comparable professional certification

Nice to have

  • GPHR, CIPD Level 7, or other international HR credentials highly valued
  • Previous HR leadership experience in private equity portfolio companies or high-volume M&A environments
