Description

Ready to elevate beyond traditional HR? We're seeking a battle-tested HR leader who thrives in high-stakes environments. This isn't about planning office parties – it's about masterfully orchestrating complex global transitions that impact hundreds of lives.

As our Senior Director of People Operations, you'll be the strategic force behind international offboarding and M&A HR execution. Think of yourself as the conductor of a complex symphony, harmonizing Legal, Finance, IT, and HR to deliver flawless transitions across multiple continents.

Yes, this role involves difficult decisions and challenging conversations. But if you're someone who can balance empathy with unwavering execution, who sees complex problems as opportunities for excellence, and who maintains composure when others might falter – we need to talk. You'll work alongside seasoned M&A veterans who'll challenge you to reach new heights of professional mastery.

What you will be doing

  • Orchestrate and execute global workforce transitions across multiple jurisdictions, from San Francisco to Singapore
  • Architect precise execution roadmaps while masterfully juggling multiple stakeholder needs
  • Transform complex legal requirements into crystal-clear employee communications
  • Ensure immaculate offboarding execution - from compliance to compensation, nothing slips through the cracks
  • Develop deep legal expertise while collaborating with our Legal team on sophisticated cases

What you will NOT be doing

  • Avoiding challenging conversations - you'll embrace them with grace and authority
  • Getting lost in theoretical HR initiatives or feel-good projects
  • Working in isolation - success here demands masterful cross-functional collaboration
  • Constantly deferring to Legal - you'll build the expertise to drive decisions
  • Buckling under pressure - this role demands steady leadership in turbulent times

Key responsibilities

Your mission is clear: Deliver impeccable, legally-sound workforce transitions at scale, across international borders, while maintaining the highest standards of compliance and professionalism.

Candidate requirements

  • 8-12 years of progressive HR leadership, including 2+ years at Director/VP level
  • Demonstrated success steering both reduction-in-force initiatives and M&A HR integrations
  • Multi-jurisdictional employment law expertise (minimum two regions: US, EU, UK, India)
  • Exceptional written communication skills with ability to translate legalese into actionable HR strategies
  • Proven ability to orchestrate complex projects across multiple functions (HRIS, Payroll, Legal, IT)
  • Current SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or equivalent professional certification

Nice to have

  • GPHR, CIPD Level 7, or comparable global HR credentials
  • Previous HR leadership experience in private equity or high-frequency M&A environments
