What you will be doing
- Crafting comprehensive strategic briefs that transform executive vision into evaluated pathways, complete with implications, tradeoffs, and recommended directions.
- Creating decision documents that illuminate complex product choices, providing sufficient context for implementation without requiring additional explanation.
- Establishing enduring conceptual frameworks ("BrainLifts") that capture evolving product principles, optimize human-AI collaboration, and build organizational knowledge.
- Identifying potential strategic shifts based on user feedback, internal capabilities, and market developments—supported by rigorous analysis and reasoning.
- Engaging with leadership to challenge assumptions, question conventional approaches, and evolve product strategy through document-based collaboration.
What you will NOT be doing
- Orchestrating agile ceremonies, feature planning, or metric-based goal setting—execution management isn't your domain.
- Depending on calendar invites or executive availability for progress—your written work is your primary influence mechanism.
- Implementing superficial AI enhancements—your understanding must fundamentally shape product architecture.
- Converting strategy into passive documentation—your documents are the strategic thinking, not its aftermath.
- Simply executing requests—your role demands proposing superior alternatives when appropriate.
Key responsibilities
Leverage strategic writing as your primary tool to transform uncertainty into product direction—defining vision, guiding decisions, and enabling AI-native execution without procedural overhead or excessive meetings.
Candidate requirements
- Minimum 6 years experience in product strategy, management, or executive collaboration with demonstrable ownership of strategic direction rather than just implementation details.
- At least 2 years working in close partnership with founders or executives in unstructured environments, successfully translating evolving vision into concrete product strategy.
- Demonstrated practical AI expertise—hands-on experience building with large language models or applying AI to enhance product development, with knowledge of multi-agent systems, agentic workflows, and orchestration architectures.
- Portfolio of 2-3 strategic documents showcasing structured thinking, innovative framing, and clear articulation of decision tradeoffs.
- Proven track record of creating order from ambiguity in minimally structured environments—taking initiative without waiting for consensus.
- Demonstrated ability to drive influence through written artifacts rather than positional authority or constant access.
- Superior communication skills with particular emphasis on written expression—your documents will be your primary influence mechanism.
- Availability to overlap with U.S. business hours for 2-3 hours daily.
