Head of Product Growth   $400,000 USD/year

Description

Are you a product leader prepared to apply AI to fundamentally reshape the mechanics of education? We seek someone to take charge of our Education vertical and personally own the mission of enabling students to learn with greater effectiveness. This position centers on catalyzing systemic transformation, not delivering marginal improvements.

This position is characterized by ownership of a strategic outcome rather than process administration. You will define an objective for our Education vertical and be equipped to deliver it. You will personally write the master "Brain Lift" that captures our strategy and establishes the portfolio roadmap unifying all educational products into a coherent whole. You'll guide a team of talented Product Owners, functioning as a player-coach who stays engaged in the most pivotal work.

The conventional one-size-fits-all educational model does not adequately serve individual learners. Our method is to construct a new framework built on learning science and AI, delivering genuinely individualized instruction. We are demonstrating that education can be both intensely personal and profoundly effective.

This position differs from a conventional VP of Product role. If you favor managing process rather than owning results, or wish to delegate essential strategic responsibilities, this will not be the right match. We seek a leader who is intensely analytical, a rigorous first-principles thinker, and unyielding in pursuit of the defined goal.

You will guide a talented team of product owners and collaborate directly with the founders to direct the entire vertical. Your success metric is straightforward: clear, data-supported evidence that your strategy measurably enhanced how students learn. If you are prepared for a challenge of this magnitude and accountability, we should speak.

What you will be doing

  • Architecting the Domain Knowledge: Lead and advance the master "Education Domain BrainLift," consolidating team and market intelligence into a unified, cohesive strategy that aligns the full vertical on critical product decisions.
  • Driving the Portfolio Roadmap: Convert the Domain BrainLift into an outcome-focused roadmap across the entire product portfolio. You will establish the work sequence that generates compounding value and supplies the strategic rationale directing your team's execution.
  • Player-Coach Execution: Operate as a player-coach: execute your own OODA loops on high-priority outcomes to establish the standard, while guiding your team by reviewing their iterations and refining their insights for unified portfolio execution.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Serving as a pure people manager. Your core responsibility is to guide the vertical's strategy and establish the execution standard, not simply administer headcount, budgets, and process.
  • Implementing a top-down strategy delivered to you. You are expected to personally craft the unified, overarching strategy for the complete vertical, synthesizing insights from the ground level upward.
  • Building static, long-range roadmaps. Your portfolio roadmap is a dynamic document. You will navigate the portfolio with agility, informed by weekly learnings from your team's iterations and your own.
  • Managing a "feature factory." Your success is measured by attaining the strategic outcome for the vertical. This demands fostering genuine cross-pollination among products, not merely shipping additional features in isolation.

Candidate requirements

  • At least 6 years of experience in a product leadership role where you personally shaped the product vision and owned the core problem-solution hypothesis
  • Previous experience launching at least one successful product (not just a feature or a module) that reached real users (not internal tools) from scratch (not joining partway through the development process) to launch (achieving at least $1 million in revenue)
  • Professional experience using AI in your daily work (e.g., research, analysis, synthesis, strategy)
