Description

Are you a product leader prepared to leverage AI to reshape education at scale? We're seeking a leader to take ownership of our Education vertical with a clear mission: enabling students to learn with greater effectiveness. This is a role centered on driving fundamental transformation, not iterative enhancements.

Success in this position is measured by owning a strategic outcome, not by overseeing workflow. You will define the objective for our Education vertical and possess the authority to deliver on it. You will personally write the master "Brain Lift" that captures our strategy and establishes the portfolio roadmap unifying all educational products under a single vision. As a player-coach, you'll guide a talented team of Product Owners while staying immersed in the most pivotal initiatives.

Traditional education systems rely on a one-size-fits-all approach that consistently underserves individual learners. Our methodology builds a new paradigm grounded in learning science and AI, designed to provide genuinely individualized instruction. We are demonstrating that education can be both intensely personal and profoundly effective.

This position diverges from the conventional VP of Product role. If you favor process oversight over outcome ownership, or wish to hand off core strategic responsibilities, this opportunity is not suitable. We need a leader who is rigorously analytical, grounded in first-principles reasoning, and uncompromising in pursuit of the defined objective.

You will lead a high-caliber team of product owners and collaborate directly with the founders to direct the entire vertical. Your success will be evaluated simply: tangible, data-supported evidence that your strategy demonstrably enhanced student learning outcomes. If you're prepared for this level of challenge and accountability, we should speak.

What you will be doing

  • Architecting Domain Knowledge: Take ownership of the master "Education Domain BrainLift" and continuously refine it, synthesizing insights from the team and market into one unified strategy that guides all major product decisions across the vertical.
  • Steering the Portfolio Roadmap: Convert the Domain BrainLift into a portfolio-wide, outcome-focused roadmap. You will determine the sequence of initiatives that generate compounding impact and articulate the strategic rationale guiding your team's execution.
  • Player-Coach Leadership: Operate as a player-coach by running your own OODA loops on high-stakes outcomes to model excellence, while coaching your team through reviewing their iterations and refining their insights to ensure unified portfolio execution.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Functioning solely as a people manager. Your core responsibility is to shape the vertical's strategy and exemplify execution standards, not simply administer headcount, budgets, and procedures.
  • Implementing a pre-defined strategy delivered from above. You are expected to personally craft the comprehensive, unifying strategy for the entire vertical by synthesizing insights from the ground up.
  • Building static, multi-year roadmaps. Your portfolio roadmap is dynamic. You will navigate the portfolio with agility, incorporating weekly learnings from both your team's iterations and your own direct work.
  • Running a "feature factory." Success is defined by achieving the vertical's strategic outcome. This demands genuine integration and synergy across products, not merely increasing feature output in isolation.

Candidate requirements

  • At least 6 years of experience in a product leadership role where you personally shaped the product vision and owned the core problem-solution hypothesis
  • Previous experience launching at least one successful product (not just a feature or a module) that reached real users (not internal tools) from scratch (not joining partway through the development process) to launch (achieving at least $1 million in revenue)
  • Professional experience using AI in your daily work (e.g., research, analysis, synthesis, strategy)
