What you will be doing
- Facilitating Workshops: Create and deliver workshops that prompt students to think, "I never realized I was capable of this!" You'll teach practical competencies—from public speaking to entrepreneurial thinking—that drive genuine inspiration.
- Conducting daily Motivation Sessions: Begin each day by helping students establish meaningful objectives and develop the mindset to accomplish them.
- Fostering student achievement: Apply established frameworks to ensure each student reaches demanding academic and developmental milestones.
- Developing personalized motivational approaches: Collaborate with students to build reward systems and incentive structures that fuel intrinsic excellence.
What you will NOT be doing
- Conventional instruction: Leave behind chalkboards and lecture formats. At Alpha, students utilize advanced applications to achieve mastery in core disciplines—your function is to mentor, motivate, and enhance their educational experience.
- Imposing discipline: We reject punitive approaches. Instead, you'll employ reasoning and affirmative reinforcement to build a respectful, stimulating atmosphere.
Candidate requirements
- Willingness to work in person in Brownsville, TX. Relocation assistance is available.
- Bachelor's degree in any subject.
- Experience employing a growth mindset to achieve a high level of performance
- High level of energy and a desire to boost others up.
- A desire to connect, inspire, and motivate K-8th grade students.
- Legal right to work in the US without visa sponsorship.
