  • Hours: Flexible part-time or full-time (10 hours per week minimum)
  • Schedule: Choose your hours within school operations, Mon - Fri, 8 am - 4 pm
  • Pay: $30 per hour (full-time: $60,000 annual salary + benefits)
  • Start date: Immediate

What you will be doing

  • Setting up materials, equipment, and learning spaces for sessions and workshops.
  • Supporting academic staff in their daily activities.
  • Facilitating student engagement and monitoring participation.
  • Managing schedules and coordinating smooth transitions between sessions.
  • Receiving mentorship from leaders transforming K-12 education.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Sitting on the sidelines: You won't passively supervise or observe from a distance; you'll be actively engaged in supporting students throughout their learning experience.
  • Feeling overwhelmed: You won't be required to lecture, lead instruction, or manage emotional coaching (yet); those responsibilities belong to the Guide.
  • Doing work that feels meaningless: This is far from just another job. You'll contribute meaningfully to children's development and success, ensuring every hour counts.

Key responsibilities

Assist Guides in fulfilling Alpha's core commitments to students: driving academic achievement, building life skills, and cultivating a passion for learning.

Candidate requirements

  • Available to work on-site at our Miami campus.
  • Able to commit to at least 10 hours per week, with complete flexibility to select your schedule within school hours (Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM). Full-time role available.
  • Prior experience working with children.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Friendly, approachable demeanor suited for working with kids.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship.
