  • Hours: Full-time or part-time availability (10 hours per week minimum)
  • Schedule: Flexible scheduling within school hours, Mon - Fri, 8 am - 4 pm
  • Pay: $30 per hour ($60,000 salary + benefits for full-time)
  • Start date: Immediate

What you will be doing

  • Setting up materials, equipment, and spaces for sessions and workshops.
  • Supporting academic staff in their daily operations.
  • Monitoring and facilitating student engagement.
  • Managing session transitions and coordinating schedules.
  • Receiving mentorship from leaders transforming K-12 education.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Staying passive: You won't merely observe or supervise from a distance; you'll be actively engaged in supporting students throughout their learning experience.
  • Getting overwhelmed: Leading classes, lecturing, or providing emotional coaching isn't your responsibility (yet); those are handled by the Guide.
  • Performing meaningless tasks: This is far from just another job. You'll contribute meaningfully to helping children grow and succeed, ensuring every hour counts.

Key responsibilities

Assist Guides in fulfilling Alpha's promises to students: guaranteeing academic achievement, developing life skills, and cultivating a passion for learning.

Candidate requirements

  • Available to work in person at our Miami campus.
  • Commit to a minimum of 10 hours per week, with complete flexibility to select your schedule during school hours (Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM). Full-time position available.
  • Prior experience working with children.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Approachable, child-friendly demeanor.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship.
