Description

Are you passionate about supporting ambitious students while earning competitive part-time pay at an innovative education startup? Alpha is building the Stanford of K-12 education, where students crush academics in 2 hours, then spend their time building expertise and online audiences through ambitious masterpiece projects.

In this role, you'll ensure a safe and productive environment for our high school students during their afternoon project work. This 19-20 hour per week role offers flexible scheduling options and competitive compensation, including guaranteed parking in downtown Austin.

THE DETAILS:

  • Location: Downtown Austin (parking included)
  • Hours: 19-20 hours/week
  • Schedule Options: Monday-Friday 4-7 PM + Saturday 12-4 PM, or Monday-Thursday 4-8 PM + Saturday 12-4 PM
  • Pay: $30 per hour
  • Start Date: Immediate

What you will be doing

  • Ensure student safety during afternoon project work sessions
  • Monitor students as they work on ambitious masterpiece projects
  • Close and secure the school facility each evening
  • Serve as a proctor for student exams scheduled during afternoon hours

What you will NOT be doing

  • Tutoring or providing academic assistance
  • Planning activities or entertainment
  • Direct project supervision or guidance
  • Administrative work beyond basic safety monitoring

  • Ability to work in Austin, TX (parking included)
  • Legal right to work in the US without visa sponsorship
  • Availability for one of these schedule options:
  1. Option 1: Monday-Friday 4-7 PM + Saturday 12-4 PM
  2. Option 2: Monday-Thursday 4-8 PM + Saturday 12-4 PM

Nice to have

Experience as a test/exam proctor is a plus, but not required.
