The most meaningful support you can offer a student who achieves 99% is to refuse to call it 100%. Not out of indifference — but because you know they can reach it, and lowering standards is the true disservice. If this reasoning resonates, continue reading. If it strikes you as severe, this position will not suit you.

Alpha students don't attend traditional lectures. They advance through adaptive applications at double the speed of conventional classrooms while developing practical life competencies. Your responsibility is ensuring three commitments are fulfilled for every student in your group: they find joy in learning, they progress at 2x velocity, and they acquire capabilities no textbook provides. You will also develop the Guides who uphold these commitments throughout your campus.

All choices are informed by data and every interaction is in-person. You divide your attention between your own student group and the Guides under your leadership — applying identical standards to both: quantifiable advancement, without compromise. When a Guide's session underperforms, you don't file documentation; you observe directly, discuss immediately, and resolve it that same day.

You'll witness reserved children present with poise to adults. You'll encounter a student who once "despised school" requesting to remain after hours. And you'll recognize that the standard you maintained is precisely what enabled their growth, because maintaining expectations demonstrates your conviction in their potential.

You may be establishing a completely new campus from the ground up and defining the foundational culture of the school. As the campus develops, your emphasis transitions from operational startup work to leadership through coaching, building the team that expands Alpha's approach across your territory.

If this opportunity appeals to you, submit your application now.

What you will be doing

  • Facilitating one-hour interactive life skills and social-emotional learning (SEL) sessions with K-8 students covering subjects such as public speaking and concentration, adhering to Alpha's defined playbook
  • Conducting daily motivational sessions designed to propel 100% of students toward their weekly application objectives using developmentally appropriate incentives including school currency and leaderboards
  • Developing Guides through direct observation, precise feedback, and active training so they execute sessions with equivalent energy and exactness
  • Analyzing Coachbot data and student records to pinpoint individuals requiring intervention, then providing personal support
  • Directly mentoring your assigned student cohort, demonstrating the coaching and motivational techniques you require from every Guide

What you will NOT be doing

  • Creating lesson plans or developing curriculum. Students advance through adaptive applications; your focus is making the people supporting them exceptional.
  • Presenting lectures before a classroom. You're 80% facilitator, 20% content expert; if you prefer standing at a whiteboard, this role isn't for you.
  • Compromising standards due to pressure from parents or administration. When a student achieves 99%, the response is "not yet" — and you'll receive full support to maintain that expectation.
  • Spending time in an office managing paperwork. The majority of your day involves direct engagement with students and Guides.
  • Waiting extended periods for performance feedback. Outcomes are visible in real-time through Coachbot and adjustments occur immediately.

Key responsibilities

Fulfill Alpha's 3 Promises throughout your cohort and among the Guides you develop: every student finds joy in school, advances at 2x speed, and develops genuine life competencies.
