Youth Education Manager   $200,000 USD/year

The highest form of support for a student who achieves 99% is refusing to round it up to 100%. Not out of indifference — but because you know they're capable of reaching it, and accepting less is the true disservice. If that reasoning resonates, continue reading. If it feels too demanding, this position will not be a good fit.

Students at Alpha don't passively attend lectures. They move through adaptive learning applications at double the speed of conventional classrooms while simultaneously developing practical life competencies. Your role ensures three core commitments are fulfilled for every student in your group: they genuinely enjoy school, they advance at 2x speed, and they acquire skills no traditional curriculum provides. You will also mentor the Guides who uphold these same commitments throughout your campus.

All decisions are grounded in data, and all work is conducted in person. Your time is divided between directly coaching your own student cohort and supporting the Guides under your leadership — with identical expectations for both: quantifiable growth, without compromise. When a Guide's session underperforms, you don't draft a memo; you observe in real time, debrief immediately, and course-correct that same afternoon.

You'll witness reserved students present with poise to adult audiences. You'll observe a child who once "despised school" request to remain after hours. And you'll recognize that the standard you maintained is precisely what enabled their transformation, because upholding expectations is how you demonstrate belief in someone's potential.

You may be building a new campus from the ground up and shaping the foundational culture that will define the institution. As the site matures, your role evolves from hands-on operator to leadership coach, cultivating the team that expands Alpha's approach across your region.

If this opportunity excites you, submit your application now.

What you will be doing

  • Facilitating one-hour live workshops focused on life skills and social-emotional learning (SEL) with K-8 students, covering areas such as public speaking and concentration, using Alpha's established playbook
  • Conducting daily motivation sessions designed to ensure 100% of students achieve their weekly app-based goals through age-appropriate incentive systems including school currency and leaderboards
  • Developing Guides via direct observation, specific feedback, and practical coaching so they execute workshops with the same intensity and accuracy you model
  • Analyzing Coachbot data and student records to pinpoint which students require support, then providing that intervention yourself
  • Directly mentoring your own assigned cohort of students, demonstrating the coaching and motivational techniques you expect every Guide to replicate

What you will NOT be doing

  • Creating lesson plans or developing curriculum. Students engage with adaptive apps; your responsibility is to elevate the people supporting them.
  • Delivering traditional lectures in a classroom setting. You're 80% performer, 20% content expert; if you prefer standing at a whiteboard, this role isn't suitable.
  • Compromising standards due to parent or administrator pressure. If a student achieves 99%, the response is "not yet" — and you'll be empowered to maintain that expectation.
  • Working from an office reviewing administrative documents. The majority of your day involves direct interaction with students and Guides.
  • Waiting weeks to receive performance updates. Results are visible in Coachbot in real time and adjustments occur immediately.

Key responsibilities

Fulfill Alpha's 3 Promises for your cohort and the Guides under your leadership: every student loves school, progresses at 2x the standard pace, and develops genuine life skills.
