As a DevOps and AWS infrastructure specialist, you'll lead the charge in ensuring 99.9% uptime across diverse product portfolios, each with unique challenges. Your expertise will streamline these systems into a cohesive, scalable AWS ecosystem, utilizing advanced monitoring and automation to minimize incidents.

While many roles focus on maintaining a single stack, we challenge you to consolidate and enhance multiple stacks without disruption. Our approach involves strategic database consolidation for cost and management efficiency, making this role ideal for those who thrive on creating order from chaos, rather than maintaining the status quo.

Your responsibilities will span infrastructure migrations, AI-driven automation, performance tuning, database transitions, and cost optimization. You'll diagnose issues, execute seamless cloud migrations, and leverage AI/ML-powered workflows to automate tasks, effectively reducing your workload. You'll have the autonomy to make critical infrastructure decisions, bypassing lengthy approval processes.

What you will be doing

  • Orchestrating intricate infrastructure transformations, including seamless migrations from legacy systems to AWS cloud and lift-and-shift transitions
  • Crafting and executing comprehensive monitoring strategies, alongside developing automations for deployments and operational processes
  • Overseeing system monitoring, backups, incident responses, database migrations and configurations, as well as optimizing costs

  • Spending endless hours in Jira or status meetings - we prioritize solution-driven individuals
  • Perpetually maintaining outdated systems - your focus will be on driving impactful enhancements
  • Waiting on bureaucratic approvals - you'll have the power to swiftly resolve incidents
  • Confined to narrow technical areas - this role demands both extensive and in-depth knowledge
  • Struggling for budget to implement crucial upgrades - we recognize the value of infrastructure investment

Key responsibilities

  • Lead efforts to enhance reliability and standardization of cloud infrastructure across our expanding product suite by establishing robust monitoring, automation, and adhering to AWS best practices.

Candidate requirements

  • In-depth expertise with AWS infrastructure, as this is our primary environment
  • Proficiency in Python or JavaScript for developing automation and tools
  • Experience in managing and migrating production databases across multiple engines (MySql, Postgres, Oracle, MS-SQL)
  • Proven ability to implement comprehensive monitoring solutions
  • Familiarity with infrastructure automation using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation
  • Strong background in Linux systems administration
