Crossover is looking for quality assurance software testers to work on multiple products, technologies, and environments, documenting and recording high quality test cases.

Our software testers are expected to be able to walk through features or products and identify problems, file bugs in product with a detailed description of the path of arrival to the bug as well as the bug itself.

You will be part of a team responsible for the technical delivery of a multi-million dollar revenue per year enterprise software product. That team is  responsible to ensure that the customers are blown away by the technical differentiation and quality of the product.

This position is 100% remote.

 
BOOTCAMP PROGRAM

To be considered for this position you are required to take part in a mandatory training series and tests included in our 4-week Bootcamp program.

After grading your tests, you will be eligible to take the Bootcamp which is usually held within a week of obtaining your test results. You will be paid the full-time rate for 40 hours per week for four weeks.

Once the Bootcamp tests are complete, we will be able to evaluate you for the position correctly. Bootcamp is a very tough training program, and only an average of 50% of attendees can finish it. Taking the Bootcamp doesn’t guarantee that you will be hired, but it is a requirement as part of the hiring process.
ONLINE HIRING EVENT



A hiring event is a scheduled online event where all our relevant testing relating to a role is conducted on the same day. Submissions received during the event are graded the following week, and successful candidates notified if they have progressed to the next round which is an online interview with a Hiring Manager.

 
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Write industry standard defect reports

Defect classification and issue severity rating

Black box and gray box testing

Integration, system, and regression testing

Use case analysis and test case writing

Exploratory testing

Creation and executions of test plans

Agile methodologies e.g. SCRUM

Defect management tools such as JIRA

Customer use cases

Test documentation

Familiarity with ISO 9000, IEEE 730-2014, ISO/IEC/IEEE 29119, CMMi or in another Total Quality Management (TQM) program is a plus
 
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields

3+ years of QA experience – manual testing execution and test case documentation

Experience designing and updating test campaigns based on formal/informal requirements

Team player, methodical, pragmatic, self-starter, process-driven and results oriented.

Familiarity with test writing tools like TestRail, HP ALM/QC, TestLink, Confluence

Experience of bug tracking tools like Jira, Bugzilla, HP ALM/QC etc

Experience in Features testing, Bugs testing, Regression testing, System Testing, Performance Testing for web based enterprise applications and products

Awareness of testing techniques like Equivalence partitioning, Boundary value analysis, Decision table testing, Exploratory testing

Comfortable “working virtually” with teammates and customers around the world. We do a lot of Skype and video conferencing

Good proficiency in English language
